Client: John Lewis
Where: White City London
When: March 2018
Brief Summary:
In late 2016 we began working with John Lewis on the development of their new FoTF (Fashion of the Future) concept. This would cover women’s fashion categories, including: Formal & Casual Fashion, Lingerie, Accessories, Handbags, Fitting Rooms and Personal styling. We were involved from the early development stages, working with both John Lewis and design agency GP Studio, to help develop the new concept within a set of key parameters in terms of cost, quality and merchandising. The project required a significant amount of design resource to take the initial concept ideas all the way through to fully detailed technical design solutions. However, once the design development phase was complete, a full set of signed off drawings were ready to take forward to production. The first launch for the new concept would be in the new White City store, opening March 2018. After the tender process was complete, Inca were awarded supply of the entire FoTF concept (amongst other categories). The new fixtures were manufactured in both the UK and Far East, ready to meet the installation programme, which lasted from November 2017 - February 2018. The new concept received extremely positive feedback and has since been implemented into further stores.
