Brief Summary:
In spring 2017 John Lewis chose us to develop an exciting new concept for their stores - The Experience Desk. The idea being to bring a concierge type service to their customers, enhancing the shopping experience and helping to deliver increased sales. The initial launch was in the new Oxford store, which was due to open in October. Using our skill and expertise, we were able to deliver within the tight time constraints set by the client. All technical design work was carried out by our in-house team and signed off in time for production in our factory, before being installed by our fitters without a hitch. Following the success of Oxford, we were then asked to work on an expanded version of the concept in the new White City store (launched March 2018). A grander, curved desk arrangement was accompanied by a dwell area, complete with bespoke furniture pieces developed and manufactured by ourselves. After successfully launching in White City, the new concept was rolled into the Oxford Street and Cheltenham stores, becoming a John Lewis Design Standard.
